Sustainable Swimwear

Here at Hot Body Swimwear - protecting our planet is important to us. That's why we've partnered with a selection of swimwear brands that use recycled materials and sustainable practices to bring you swim styles that both look good and do good for the planet. Here are just a few of our sustainable brands and how they are working to lessen their environmental impact.

Cinnamon Swan

Based right here in New Zealand, sustainability is at the heart of everything that Cinnamon Swan does. Committed to minimising their footprint, Cinnamon Swan swimwear is made from sustainable recycled fabrics made from plastic bottles. Not only does this selection feature a range of gorgeous colours, super soft fabrications and luxe styles and cuts - but every piece is cleaning up our beaches - one swimsuit at a time! Cinnamon Swan also uses no plastic in any of their packaging and every piece is ethically manufactured.

Monte & Lou

Monte & Lou works hard to not only deliver a gorgeous range of prints, but their commitment to our planet is shown in every piece they create. Using recycled textiles and sustainable practices, this Sydney-based brand works hard to combat fast fashion and reduce their global impact on the environment. Each Monte & Lou swimsuit is crafted from an exclusive recycled, quick-dry swim fabric made up of 85% regenerated nylon yarn. This yarn is made form both pre and post-consumer materials such as plastic bottles, fishing nets and carpet fibres. The result is a fabrication that feels like silk and is lightweight and quick to dry. Monte & Lou also uses a sustainable digital printing method for all their designs which uses less water and doesn't use harmful dyes or chemicals that could harm the environment.

Sea Level

Sea Level is an Australian brand that creates stunning, timeless styles for all shapes and sizes. 90% of their swim collections are made from recycled base cloths and feature recycled linings made from regenerated nylon yarn. Sea Level is also certified by the Global Recycle Standard which verifies the recycled content of their products and also ensures that all manufacturing processes are safe for the environment. Their swing-tags and labels are also sourced from wood that comes from FSC-certified forests - forests that only use environmentally friendly management practices.
