Planning your next holiday? The Cook Island bubble is now open and we’re sharing some of our best travel tips for your next vacation.

GET THE MOST OF THE MAINLAND

On the mainland, we suggest staying in the Muri Beach area so that you’re not too far from the action. If you’ve left the kids at home, then Te Manava and Rumours are two of our favourite resorts - but if you’re planning a family trip, there’s lots of family friendly options with lots of activities to keep the kids entertained too.

Quench your thirst at Beluga Cafe which we think has the best coffee on the mainland. And if you’re feeling peckish, be sure to check out Antipodes which as an absolute must for fabulous food or a long Rosé lunch.

The Saturday markets are a definite must if you’re wanting to get your shop on. We recommend going as early as you can so you don’t miss out on Dear Love’s pastries - some of the best croissants you’ll ever taste. There are also great juices, an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables and the most amazing fresh tuna. Speaking of, if you’re a seafood lover - don’t forget to try the Sashimi platter at Charlies where you can enjoy your meal right on the beach - or for the more casual crew, The Mooring Faith cafe has tantalising fish tacos which are great for the whole family to enjoy.

THEN FLY AWAY TO AITUTAKI

If you’re looking for a chilled getaway for two, away from the hustle and bustle, Aitutaki is one of our favourite spots. A short domestic flight from the mainland, even flying into this little lagoon feels like a trip to paradise. Board a small plane for scenic views over the water like no other. Lagoon tours run frequently - and we recommend the smaller boats rather than the more popular ones - so you jump on and off as your please. If hiking is your thing, there’s a nice easy mountain climb with gorgeous views from the top. Or if you’re not much of a walker, then you can hire a bike or scooter for the day and take your own tour around the island.

Need a coffee break? Koru is one of our favourite cafes on the island, and for a casual night out, the Yacht Club serves up delicious meals.

NOT SURE WHAT TO WEAR?

For your island getaway, you’ll definitely need to look your best. Especially for all those instagram snaps you’ll be sending to all your jealous friends back home - you won’t want to be wearing the same thing in every photo after all! For our one piece lovers, our Sea Level Essentials range is perfect for every shape - with lace trim detailing and mix n match pieces - there's no wonder these swimsuits are some of our best sellers!

More of a bikini babe? Add some flirty florals to your swim wardrobe with our latest Ocean Drive collection from Baku, or opt for minty florals in the new Seville.

For lounging around the resort and relaxing on the beach, you’ll definitely want to pack some of our new Tigerlily resortwear. There's a whole selection of stunning maxis, throwover tops (perfect for wearing over your swimwear) and comfy kaftans for the days you just want to put your feet up.
